Managing Phased Strata Corporations
Alex J. Chang will be presenting with Greg Bickert, President and Managing Broker of Inspire Property Management on “Phases and Development: Overcoming the Challenges and Issues of Phased Strata Developments”. This seminar will cover the unique challenges associated with managing phased strata corporations and is recommended for strata managers. The course will cover:
- Overview of how phased strata developments work.
- Management and governance issues when adding phases to a strata corporation, such as calling AGM’s, amending bylaws, adding council members, electrical planning and depreciation reports and more.
- Accounting for the developer’s contributions to common expenses and common facilities, including interim budget reconciliations and penalties.
- Changes to Phased Strata Plan Declaration and elections by the developer not to proceed.
