Amanda is a member of the strata property law group at Lesperance Mendes and focuses on a solicitor’s practice. She regularly works with strata corporations, strata owners and property managers on a variety of strata property and governance matters including:
- Drafting and interpreting governance instruments such as bylaws, rules, and resolutions
- Financing of major repairs and special projects
- Implementing sections and/or types
- Bylaw enforcement
- Collecting strata fees, special levies, deductibles and other chargebacks
- Due diligence and review of contracts, easements and statutory rights-of-way
- Strata and small claims disputes before the Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT)
- Privacy issues and Human Rights Code complaints
- Strata windups
Amanda also assists with employment law, municipal law, and intellectual property law matters.
Prior to joining Lesperance Mendes as an associate, Amanda summered and articled with the Vancouver office of a national law firm and gained experience in a variety of areas including commercial real estate, securities, and business law.
